Yosemite Falls – Winter Ice captures spray transformed to sculpture at the base of California’s storied cascade. On a subfreezing morning, wind-driven mist fused into plates and spires while granite walls breathed winter light. I composed for depth and quiet drama, letting black-and-white emphasize structure, luminous ice, and the hush between thunderous drops. Made with a Mamiya 645 medium format camera and Zeiss 80mm on Kodak Tri-X 400, the negative holds tactile detail and a timeless tonal range. This print invites lingering: a meeting of force and stillness where water, rock, and winter’s breath become one. Edition prints are offered in multiple sizes.
